Mixed feelings
Couchsurfing was hit or miss for me. Some great hosts, but one just didn’t seem prepared for guests. It’s a rollercoaster.

Perfect way to travel

Good community, but
The community is fun and vibrant, but I had one bad experience where the host wasn't as welcoming as I expected. That left a bit of a sour taste.

Used Couchsurfing a couple of times. The first experience was ok, found a decent host but the second time it felt a bit sketchy. Didn’t vibe with the host and had to leave early, which was a bummer.

I had a couple of good experiences but also some not-so-great ones. One host canceled last minute and left me stranded. Overall, the idea is awesome and I met some fun people, but I wish it was more reliable.
